A clear, four-step path from spec to silicon.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined process, so you know what’s happening, what’s next, and what you’ll receive at each stage.

01

Discovery & scoping

30-min consultation, requirements review, and a written scope with a fixed-fee or T&M proposal.

02

Design & review

Schematic, layout, and firmware drafts with structured review gates and documented decisions.

03

Build & validate

Prototype build, bring-up, SI/PI checks, firmware integration, and pre-compliance testing.

04

Handoff & production

Manufacturing-ready files, BOM, test plans, and a clean handoff to your contract manufacturer.

Hardware that ships, on schedule.

A sample of recent client outcomes, details anonymized under NDA. Specifics available on request.

Robotics

Saved 6 weeks on FCC re-test

Caught a layout-driven emissions issue in pre-compliance review, redesigned the affected zone, and passed certification on first re-submission.

Industrial IoT

22% BOM reduction on 4-layer board

Component consolidation and second-source qualification across an 18-month production run. Maintained full performance envelope.

Medical

Risk-managed redesign in 9 weeks

Obsolescence-driven redesign for a Class II patient-monitoring device. Documented decisions, traceability, and clean handoff to QA.

Common questions, straight answers.

How do engagements and pricing work?

Most projects start with a short consultation and a scoping phase. From there we provide a proposal with milestone-based deliverables, so you know what is being built, by when, and at what cost before work begins.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. We routinely work under NDA and confidentiality is standard practice; it is why the case studies on this site are anonymized. Your designs, documents, and product plans stay private.

Who owns the design files and IP?

You do. At handoff you receive the complete design package: schematics, layout files, Gerbers, BOM, firmware source code, and test documentation. No lock-in.

Can you take over a partial or existing design?

Yes. We regularly join projects mid-stream, whether that means reviewing and finishing a partial design, debugging an existing board, or redesigning around obsolete components.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope: a focused board design or respin is typically measured in weeks, while full product development through certification is measured in months. Every proposal includes a concrete schedule with milestone dates.

Where are you located, and do you work with remote teams?

We are Canadian-owned and operated, based in Toronto and Ottawa, and work with clients across Canada and internationally. Design reviews and demos happen over video, and hardware ships wherever it needs to go.

Do you handle manufacturing?

We design for manufacturability and take products through prototype assembly, validation, and a clean handoff to your contract manufacturer, including sourcing support and production documentation. We are manufacturer-independent, so you are never locked in.

Let’s discuss your project requirements and explore how we can help you deliver reliable, production-ready hardtech products.
